Ok, long story, get some popcorn and soda or something. I met Justin through my best friends and we soon starting hooking up, later we went and got drinks on a normal basis. A few months later we went to Germany, which was completely spur of the moment for me. After we got back we started dating and were together for quite a few months, then we broke up.

After about 6 weeks we started talking again, and both of us came to the conclusion we got stuck up on what a boyfriend was and supposed to be. So from this point we went forward as being friends, but we are closer to what most people would call a couple, we just don’t consider each other as partners. 

I think this has worked well for us in defining boundaries in our personal lives and not trying to live up to some ideal of a “good boyfriend”. We have our own things going on but we also come together and share our time together.
